Paul had an obvious gift for teaching music, and so his career began to take shape. As a result, he opened his own successful teaching practice in 1995 which became the forerunner for the now internationally recognised Music Learning Curve Academy. Paul has taught all over the world and students from USA, Sweden, Italy, Malaysia, France, Spain, Poland, China, Russia, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Brazil, Mexico have come to the UK to study with Paul. He has also performed in the USA, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Singapore, Malaysia, Brazil and of course in all corners of the UK - audiences ranges from 100 to 17,000!
Paul’s experience in theatre (pit) work, TV broadcasts for BBC's Children In Need & Music Live, festival performances, nightclub tours, and exhibitions including Wembley, NAMM, Frankfurt's ‘Musik Messe’ and the NEC, naturally brings a great amount of excitement and colour to his work.
In 1999 Paul signed his first cymbal and drumset endorsements which included a 10 x 4" signature snare drum! In 2003 Paul was invited by Trinity College (London) to compile their new drumset grade syllabus, which he found to be a great honour.
2005 saw Paul launch a new series of courses aimed at every level of musician including a brand new course with a higher standard - which offers access to the music industry. Paul is also Patron of JimChapin.com, PapaJoJones.com and is the President of Music Learning Curve! He recently signed new endorsements with Vic Firth, Sabian, Mapex, Evans and Protection Racket.
Paul now works with musical director, Matt Stacey, seeing that Paul performs across the UK in theatre tribute productions of Frank Sinatra and Shirley Bassey.
